Very First Outfit Post!!

Hey everyone! I really felt like writing today, but I don't really have anything to write about. So instead, I decided to finally upload some of my outfit selfies to share with everyone!

This first one is a shot from the locker room at work. I try to dress fashionably in my secretary role because I'm supposed to have a uniform but they still haven't gotten it for me. I'm milking it while I can. I really liked the combination of my dark purple cardigan with this teensy polka dot button down shirt, letting the shirt sleeves peek out at the ends of the cardigan. I should take detail shots next time, because this cardigan has faux elbow patch outlines sewn on in black. And I love the teensy polka dots on the shirt!

Cardigan: H&M, Button Down: Marhsalls, Dress Pants: NY&C

I got tired of wearing black dress pants to work, so I decided to go out to Express and buy some salmon colored ones. I'm really excited to try them out, and I'll definitely take lots of pics!

This next outfit is from a day when it was still relatively comfortable outside in December. I was going to Starbucks to work on my graduate school applications and I wanted to look cute. I opted for a floral skirt and some tights. It was the first time I wore the tights and they were semi uncomfortable so when I got home, I promptly traded them for yoga pants.

Slouchcy Shirt: American Eagle, Skirt: Forever 21, Burgundy Tights: JC Penney, Boots: JC Penney

Hopefully I'll be taking many more outfit pics. I often think "Hey, I look cute!" but I never think to take a picture, or am at a loss for a long enough mirror for my tall self. I'll definitely have to take more detail shots too!

My sister just informed me that "Most Memorable Moments of Honey Boo Boo" is on, so we're gonna go watch it together! Until next time!

Hello, dancing.

I don't feel like blogging anything substantial yet, so instead, I'm going to watch lindy and blues videos. And there's NOTHING you can do about it. So HA!

I really miss dancing and going to exchanges (kind of regretting skipping PittStop this year), so I'm going to build up my confidence and drive again. I also miss my friends who I used to dance with. There's alway just a special bond when you can look at someone and then just break into a swing out at that moment in time. Or within an hours time, say to someone "Hey, I want to dance!" so you find a place and a group of people to go dancing. Sam and I want to try to go to All Balboa Weekend here in Cleveland in June, so I'm going to start trying to learn Bal!

You may also watch lindy and blues videos. Here you go:

This one is from The Let's Dance Society, my senior year :)

And balboa, for those of you who don't know

Money

Ah, the good old m-word. Here's a paraphrased quote from one of my favorite movies, The Wedding Singer, "I'm a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar."

I just realized today that even if I am making a reasonable amount of money (reasonable as in I can buy the things I want, pay my bills, and still have money in my fund, but I could in no way live off of it), that doesn't mean I should spend it on things that I wouldn't have normally been able to buy (look at me learning adult things!). I'm applying to grad schools, only one of six is close enough for me to live at home- for free!-with my parents. Each paycheck, I've been putting $150 into my savings account to save for things like a car, or a computer, or to move out, or a wedding (hey! there are no plans to wed, but they're expensive, so why not save up?!). My savings account is still sad. I realized, that if I want to be able to support myself and not have to take out more crazy loans, I need to save better and spend less. Maybe a budget is in my future. I'm going to be looking for all of the money help that I can get. The internet is my best friend.

Any tips on saving money fast?
